Guys,
Don't have time for much, but...
We have been offered the dig. The cave is now about 18 feet by 40 feet of
dug-into floor, but the diggers were not going out to the edges. Johnny has
it set up with a structure holding an electric winch for buckets for rubble,
and he'll bring a generator or welder out to power the winch. The room is
about 8-10 feet tall and the buckets are coming up about 12 feet?

Johnny has a bobcat he will have us use to haul the tailings to an area not
far away but where they will not just wash back in.

This place is fewer than 4 miles from my house. I didn't ask about camping
on site but I'll bet we can after the first time.

It's set up because his ranch hand's sons have been digging off & on for
about 3 years but the last one graduated last night. Johnny has been having
them sift for bones and tools and we would want to do that, but perhaps do
it in-cave so we can photo document a general location and depth.

The whole cave is daylight because it has 4 healthy openings and one small
one.

A couple from I think Cowtown Grotto is coming out this weekend from
Punkin/Deep but Jerly said she told me, first, so even if they want to dig
we have first dibs.

4-6 people could have a good rhythm going, more than six on a trip at a time
would work but not many more or we'd be tripping over each other I think.

Jeryl & Johnny would like us to dig in both July and August, even though
it's hot. They do not have hunters, though...

The only hurry is that I leave for camp tomorrow noon, no internet, no cell
service there, and I'd like to be able to send her a card my 1st couple of
days out.

Sorry I couldn't give us more time. My thinking is, we'd enjoy it greatly
and if we behave ourselves thre are quite a few more caves in the area that
we might eventually get to see.

I vote yes! Jacqui
