[Nmcaver] Astronaut Farmer

Hi all!
	Kathy and I just went to see the movie "Astronaut Farmer" starring  
Billy Bob Thornton.  The movie is OK, but makes it worth mentioning  
to NM cavers is that it was filmed in New Mexico, with many scenes  
obviously filmed in the GypKaP area.
	The movie is supposed to take place in Texas, but anyone familiar  
with Texas and New Mexico geography will quickly see that it's not  
Texas.  Several scenes take place in a town called "Story".  It looks  
familiar but I couldn't quite place it.  Perhaps someone else will.   
The Gallinas Mountains outside of Corona are quite prominent in  
several scenes, as well as White Sands and the cliffs in the Abiquiu  
area.
	The credits say that the movie was filmed in New Mexico.  However  
there are a few desert scenes that I think were filmed in California,  
or perhaps Arizona, as there are Joshua Trees in the background,  
which don't exist in New Mexico.
