Hi all!
As most of you know, Paul Stevens, former president & treasurer of
the NSS, has lived in Las Cruces for the last several years, and
suffers from ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Even with his condition,
Paul has been active in the Mesilla Valley Grotto. However, he and
his wife, Lee, have now decided it is time for Paul to say goodbye.
Last night, Lee organized a "Celebration of Life" for Paul, with
many of their friends and family. It was a wonderful and uplifting
event. Paul and Lee's longtime friend, Cheryl Jones, has suggested
that everyone who knows Paul take a moment at noon tomorrow (Monday,
July 16), to offer a toast to his life. By that time, he will have
been released from the shackles of this debilitating disease and
exploring a virgin cave that none of the rest of us have seen.

	We will miss you, Paul.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things
you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines,
Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in you sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
attributed to Mark Twain, but no record exists of his having
written this.
