The Lithuanian expedition to Optimistitcheskaya. 

 

At this moment the caving club "Aenigma" under the leadership of Aidas
Gudaitis unites the core of the most active Lithuanian cavers and continues
organized speleological movement started in Lithuania over three decades
ago.

 

Officially Lithuanian caving club "Aenigma" is just "an infant" born only on
the 15th February 2006. But the idea to found a club was maturing for years.
During many years independent cave explorations and expeditions for the
search of new caves were organized and the active collaboration with foreign
cavers was kept. Caving schools were and still are organized every year.

 

The main objectives of the caving club "Aenigma" are to join together those
who are interested in speleology and to popularize ecologically safe cave
explorations. Every year new cavers are prepared in the caving school. We
collaborate and keep close relationships with foreign caving clubs: Moscow
caving club "Sokolniki-RUDN", the cavers of France, Ukraine, Poland, Spain.
Our cave explorations take place in Russia, Ukraine, Abkhazia, Poland,
Spain, France, Turkey and others countries...

The expedition to Optimistitcheskaya is over

 

2006.10.29 - 2006.11.04 four Lithuanian cavers, lead by Henrikas Ramonas,
took part in the expedition to the cave Optimistitcheskaya (west Ukraine).
The expedition was organized by Lvov's caving club "Cyklop" and consisted of
